William Keeling
Our story stretches all the way back to 1926 when the current farm was established. From the early 1920's to the late 1960's, rhubarb was one of our main crops. In the 1930's, we began growing fruits and salads and supplying to the local Dublin markets. We first planted strawberries in 1937, with Bramleys following in 1949. Today, our glasshouses have enabled us to extend the Irish berry growing season from March to November.
We produce approximately 200 million strawberries each year.
We have implemented no-mow policies and wildlife-friendly farm margins on our farm.
Las Brisas produce over 16 million pineapples a year on our 1018 hectare Level A Rainforest Alliance certified farm in Costa Rica.
